Love on the Lawn
The benefit concert I organized for Pitt Tonight, the University of Pittsburgh's late night talk show, to close out our 8th season. I oversaw all aspects of the show from ideation to execution. It was put on in celebration of Women's Empowerment Month and Pitt Pride Week, and raised funds for three charities: The Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Pitt's Rainbow Alliance, and the Pitt chapter of Days for Girls.

"Pitt ‘Love on the Lawn’ concert to celebrate inclusivity amidst series of ‘harmful’ campus speakers"

“Something I’ve been trying to figure out for my career is how to put purpose into it and do something good with it,” said Dunn, a senior media and professional communications major with dreams of entering the music business world post-graduation.
As for Dunn, he’s just hoping that “Love on the Lawn” can act as both a bastion of inclusivity for everyone in attendance and a balm for any Panther in need of escaping the discourse for a few hours.
“It’s good fun,” he said. “It’s a thing that you can come out and in spite of any protests or other negative things you can still have a good time and support local Pittsburgh musicians … and donate your time and money for really good causes who could use it.”
"‘Love On the Lawn’ benefit concert celebrates Women’s History Month, Pitt Pride Week"
- Amy Zhang, The Pitt News
"On a windswept Saturday afternoon, students gathered around a small stage on the Cathedral Lawn to enjoy live music from Pittsburgh’s hottest woman-led musical acts."
"Proceeds went to the UPMC’s Children’s Miracle Network, in conjunction with Pitt Dance Marathon, which occurred on the same day. Funds also went to Rainbow Alliance and Pitt’s chapter of Days for Girls 一 a nonprofit organization that prepares and distributes sustainable menstrual products for girls around the world."
Dunn said “[music] is a communal thing, and doing shows and stuff here in Oakland has reinforced that. It’s cool to see live music, people come together.”
